Text2Pledge is a tremendous tool for driving donations at events, fundraisers, or any gathering. It can also just be used as a standard ongoing text to donate program. The out-of-the box solution can be used by any non profit, booster club, or anyone trying to raise funds.

Deployment

The non profit or church can promote a keyword and shortcode that we assign similar to the one on the right asking people to text in to donate!

When an individual sees the sign or is instructed to text in they then get a response on their phone that might look like “[Non profit name] to complete your donation, simply reply with the amount you wish to donate.”

When they reply with the amount they want to donate they will receive an instructional text back that has a link or URL enclosed. The message might say, “Thank you for your pledge, complete your donation now by clicking this link, http://bit.ly ” The link then takes the donor to a page where they can input their credit card information and donate immediately.

There are tons of reasons that this makes for a great campaign and fundraiser. Each of the users can donate any amount they want without limit to $5 or $10 increments like other text donation programs. All of the users are saved in a database and can be communicated with later to ask for additional donations, invite to events, or even participate in social media conversations.
